JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1. Duties and Responsibilities
2. Establish and promote high standard in academic performance for staff and students.
3. Develop and establish an overall strategy and policy for driving the educational pursuit of the school.
4. Manage and supervise the operational procedures for instructional systems, extracurricular activities and discipline system to ensure an orderly learning community.
5. Implement board directives and policies efficiently and effectively.
6. Research and collect data on the needs of students and demands of parents for the educational advancement of the school.
7. Evaluation of the performance of academic staff for the purpose of reward, punishment and discipline
8. Maintain Effective communication with the academic community as well as the board.
9. Supervise in a fair and consistent manner effective discipline and attendance systems with high standards consistent with the philosophy, values and mission of the school.
10. Establish the annual master schedule for instructional programs to ensure sequential learning experience.
11. Development of curriculum suitable for scholarly pursuit in line with the school’s philosophy, values and mission

REQUIREMENT FOR THIS JOB
Education and Work Experience

1. First degree in education or B.Sc with a PDGE
2. Master’s degree in Education Management or related fields
3. Fifteen (15) years post qualification experience with ten (10) of the years in senior teaching position.

Skills and Competences

1. Clear knowledge of the educational terrain and regulations governing school management
2. Ability to resolve complex problems
3. Ability to demonstrate creativity and latitude for decision-making.
4. Ability to set clear instructional direction and build teams to achieve result
5. Proficiency in the use of technology with a good knowledge of modern instructional materials
