JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all construction activities adhere to established schedules and are completed within budget.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage on-site construction teams, including project managers, supervisors, and laborers.
    • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct regular meetings with the project team to review progress, address challenges, and ensure goals are met.
  • Prepare and manage the project budget, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.
  • Ensure all construction work meets the highest standards of quality and adheres to relevant codes and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address issues that may compromise quality or safety.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and ensure all work is completed according to specifications.
  • Identify potential risks to the project and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB

  • 10 years of experience in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role in construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
