ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Auchi Polytechnic, located along the Benin-Auchi-Okene Highway, is a leading Federal Polytechnic established to provide technology-based education and skills development. It has three campuses and is known for its commitment to high standards in educational and technical training.

Auchi Polytechnic, a premier federal polytechnic established in 1973, is seeking applications for the position of Bursar. The Bursar will serve as the Chief Financial Officer, responsible for overseeing the financial administration and control of the Polytechnic’s finances. The position will become vacant on 18th December 2024 and 30th January 2025.

JOB DETAILS
The Bursar is a Principal Officer and will be responsible for:

• Day-to-day financial administration and control.
• Heading the Bursary department.
• Custody of Polytechnic finances.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor’s Degree (minimum second class lower) or HND (minimum lower credit) in Accountancy or Finance from a recognized institution.
• 18 years post-qualification experience for Bachelor’s/HND holders, or 15 years with a Master’s degree, or 12 years with a Doctorate degree.
• Registration with ICAN or ANAN.
• At least 5 years in a similar position (e.g., Chief Accountant or Deputy Bursar).
• Proficient in ICT and accounting software.
• Age not exceeding 59 years as of 18/12/2024.
• Demonstrated leadership, creativity in financial policy, and sound character.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

• Appointment for a single tenure of five years.
• Consolidated salary and benefits as per Federal Government provisions for Principal Officers.
