POSITION 1: Dietitian

Job Type: Full Time

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The candidate will be expected to develop nutrition programs and supervise the preparation and serving of meals.
They help prevent and treat illnesses by promoting healthy eating habits and suggesting diet modifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assess patients’ and clients’ health needs and diet
2. Counsel patients on nutrition issues and healthy eating habits
3. Develop meal plans, taking both cost and clients’ preferences into account
4. Evaluate the effects of meal plans and change the plans as needed
5. Promote better nutrition by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition, and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases
6. Keep up with the latest nutritional science research
7. Write reports to document patient progress

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics

POSITION 2 :    Medical Laboratory Scientists

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receive urine, blood or other samples for experimentation and analysis
2. Prepare standard volumetric solutions or reagents to be combined with specimens
3. Manage and operate laboratory equipment
4. Test and study blood, urine and other body fluids
5. Evaluate test results and prepare reports for physicians
6. Maintain laboratory quality assurance and safety standards
7. Cross-match blood for transfusion
8. Guide and supervise junior staff and technicians
9. Write medical articles for medical journals

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

1. Minimum of a degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field
2. Comprehensive knowledge of FDA regulations
3. Able to work together as part of a team
4. Able to maintain a safe, clean work environment

1. Undertaking patient consultations and physical examinations

4. Providing general pre- and post-operative care
5. Monitoring and administering medication

7. Liaising daily with staff including other doctors, non-medical management staff and healthcare professionals
8. Writing reports and maintaining records

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

1. MBBS Degree (minimum)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Writing patient case notes and reports; 
2. Collecting patient statistics; 
3. Educating and advising patients about how to prevent and/or improve conditions; 
4. Keeping up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients; 
5. Liaising with other healthcare personnel to supply and receive relevant information about the background and progress of patients, as well as referring patients who require other specific medical attention; 
6. Working with patients to identify the physical problem; 
7. Developing and reviewing treatment programmes; 
8. Being legally responsible and accountable; 
9. Managing clinical risk. 
10. Assisting patients with joint and spinal problems, especially following surgery; 
11. Helping patients’ rehabilitation following accidents 
12. Supervising physiotherapy assistants; 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
Qualifications

1. Candidates must possess B.Sc in Physiotherapy or Medical Rehabilitation with NYSC Discharge Certificate. 
2. Candidates must also be a registered member of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Registration) Board of Nigeria (MRTBN) and must have completed one year internship. 
3. Candidates must have current practicing license

POSITION  6: Radiographers and Sonographers

Job Purpose

1. This job involves the use of x-ray and ultrasound machines, as well as other forms of imaging technology, to examine and carry out diagnosis. 
2. Candidate will be expected to acquire images to help with the diagnosis of illnesses and injuries. 
3. Candidate may also be expected to contribute towards interpreting images, establishing treatment plans and helping with intervention procedures,

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Evaluate patients’ medical condition and history to determine most suitable radiographic technique for diagnosis 
2. Interact with patients to offer them psychological support and address their concerns regarding an imaging procedure 
3. Adjust diagnostic equipment to deliver accurate amount of radiation to patients 
4. Operate complex medical instruments such as MRIs, CT scanners, X-ray, ultrasound, and several other imaging devices 
5. Liaise with oncologists and physicians to plan treatment for cancer patients 
6. Direct and supervise the activities of radiography assistants and trainee radiographers 
7. Maintain proper records of patient details ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information 
8. Follow up on patients after treatment to track the progress of recovery and ensure patients show no signs of radiation side effect 
9. Explain to patients and their family the details of a procedure and ways to manage possible side effects 
10. Regularly inspect diagnostic equipment to ensure they are functional and operate efficiently 
11. Assist oncologists and physicians during complex radiological examinations 
12. Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines to minimize risk of exposure to ionizing radiation 
13. Correctly position patients prior to X-ray imaging in order to obtain high quality films 
14. Use portable devices to conduct diagnostic scans on patients who can’t move to the radiology unit.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

1. B.Sc (Radiography and/or Sonography) 
2. NYSC certificate 
3. At least 2 years experience in Ultrasound scanning after training. 
4. At least 2 years experience in CT scanning on a machine 64 slice and above 
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

POSITION 7: Nurse

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice 
2. Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians 
3. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients 
4. Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts 
5. Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders 
6. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.) 
7. Provide instant medical care in emergencies 
8. Assist surgeons during operations 
9. Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants 
10. Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients. 
11. Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

1. Proven experience as a registered nurse 
2. Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures 
3. Excellent knowledge of emergency care 
4. In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times 
5. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
6. Responsible and compassionate 
7. Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills 
8. Patient with excellent problem-solving skills 
9. B.Sc or other diploma from a Nursing program 
10. Valid nursing license.

3. Provide direct patient care. 
4. Documents findings, progress and instruction to patients and caregivers. 
5. Supervises assistants and rehabilitation technicians with regards to individual patient care. 
6. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served. 
7. He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited University-based occupational therapy program. 
2. At least 2 years of clinical experience required. 
3. Demonstrates ability and willingness to mentor/train staff or supervise clinical interns. 
4. Provides clinical leadership and demonstrates expertise for a particular patient type/group or enhances an existing clinical program for that particular patient type/group.
