Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa was established by law of the Ondo State House of Assembly in December 2007.

OSUSTECH is a technology-based Institution which aims at providing the needed manpower training in order to address the critical needs and technological development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole. The University is currently running programmes in Engineering and Engineering Technology Agricultural, Technology, Food and Natural Resources, Mathematical, Chemical, Biological and Physical Sciences. The University has the vision of becoming a leading internationally recognized institution raising a corpus of technologically, competent individuals able to respond to the needs of their environment in a technology – driven economy.

POSITION 1: Senior Librarian

Unit: University Library

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

1. Candidate must possess a good honours Degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) plus MLS or MLIS in Library Science or Library and Information Science and must have at least six (6) years cognate experience in an academic or research Library
2. He or She must be Computer literate and must have evidence of substantial contribution to knowledge through research and scholarly publications in reputable journals.

POSITION 33: Registrar

The Position

1. Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University except as regards matters for which the Bursar is responsible. 
2. The Registrar is also the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSTION

1. A candidate for the position of Registrar must possess a good University Honours Degree (minimum of second class lower) preferably in Humanities or related disciplines and must have at least fifteen (15) years’ cognate experience, three (3) of which should be at the rank of Deputy Registrar in a University or relevant institution of higher learning. 
2. Possession of a higher degree and membership of recognized professional body is mandatory 
3. The person who will be Registrar, given the complexity and scientific nature of the administrative processes of a 21st century University, must not only be a goal-getter but must also be able to show drive, exceptional initiative, great ability for institutional networking with the outside world and must have a suave mien that typifies a 21st Century world class University.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

1. The successful applicant will be placed on consolidated salary with relevant fringe benefits and will equally enjoy the allowances normally attached to the position of Registrar in Nigerian Universities and others as approved by the Governing Council from time to time. 
2. The appointment of Registrar is for a single tenure of five (5) years only. 

POSITION 34: University Librarian

The Position

1. The University Librarian is the Chief Library Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration of the University Library and the co-ordination of the Library Services in the University.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

1. Candidate for the post of University Librarian must possess a good Honours degree (minimum of second class lower), plus professional qualification in librarianship.
2. Membership of relevant professional body is mandatory.
3. Possession of a Ph.D. will be an advantage.
4. Candidates must show evidence of considerable scholarship and thorough understanding of the application of new technologies to library operations and services.
5. Computer literacy and application of ICT in library services is an essential requirement.
6. In addition candidates must show sufficient evidence of contribution to knowledge through research and scholarly publications in recognized local and international journals; and competence in job planning, organization and ability to take initiatives to fast-track the development of a young University Library to an international standard within a short period of time.
7. Candidates must have at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience in an academic or research Library, three (3) of which must have been spent as Deputy Librarian.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

1. The successful applicant will be placed on consolidated salary with relevant fringe benefits and will equally enjoy the allowances normally attached to the position of University Librarian in Nigerian Universities and others as approved by the Governing Council from time to time.
2. The appointment of University Librarian is for a single tenure of five (5) years only.
