POSITION SUMMARY

The Agricultural Services Manager will ensure the direct sourcing of agricultural products aligns with business priorities. The role involves driving sustainable agriculture practices, responsible sourcing, and contributing to the development of rural communities through initiatives such as the "Farmer Connect" operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the Nestle Nigeria Livestock Development Project (NLDP) and oversee project partners, internal staff, and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical and administrative support to partners for milk collection, pasture development, herd health, dairy farm management, and community engagement in locations such as Paikon Kore and Ladduga grazing reserves.
• Lead projects to achieve targets and KPIs in line with business priorities.
• Implement improvement projects for dairy and local sourcing, ensuring quality, volume, and cost targets are met.
• Support the development of agricultural raw materials like cereals and grains by collaborating with farmers and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé Responsible Sourcing principles.
• Engage with external partners to co-create sustainability projects that benefit local communities, farmers, and the business.
• Communicate and promote Creating Shared Value (CSV) initiatives within the organization.
• Lead and develop team members for personal growth and succession planning.
• Collaborate with partners and farmers to drive Nestle's commitments on climate and regenerative agriculture within Cereals/Grains & Dairy Value chains.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Postgraduate Degree or equivalent in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Science, Food Science, or Rural Economics.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in dairy development, commercial dairy farm management, cereal/grain processing, and rural project management.
• Proven experience as a line manager in direct sourcing operations, with leadership capability.
• Hands-on experience in large rural development projects and managing significant projects with external stakeholders.
• Experience in managing various functions and working across multiple environments.
