Centre for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP) is seeking a creative and self-motivated GRAPHICS DESIGN TUTOR to join our team in Lagos on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding design skills, a proven track record in graphic design, and a commitment to fostering the development of students' design capabilities. The Graphics Design Tutor will work closely with the Social Media Marketing Tutor to enhance the design and color competencies of students enrolled in the SHE program. This role requires a reliable individual who is committed, accountable, and passionate about empowering others, particularly young females and members of the HIV community.


JOB DESCRIPTIONS

The Graphics Design Tutor will be responsible for the following:

  • Structured Lessons: Develop and deliver structured graphic design lessons and workshops that cover key concepts for beginners. Encourage students to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.

  • Hands-On Learning: Create and oversee practical projects and activities that provide students with hands-on experience in planning and executing design projects.

  • Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to students who need additional help or wish to explore advanced design topics. Foster an inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.

  • Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate students' understanding and application of graphic design principles through assignments, projects, and assessments. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills.

  • Mentoring and Career Guidance: Serve as a mentor, inspiring young females to consider careers in graphic design, color coordination, branding, and related fields. Share insights into opportunities within the design industry.

  • Graphic Design Activities: Organize and participate in graphic design activities and events for marketing-related events, campaigns, and workshops. Encourage students to explore graphic design beyond the classroom.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other instructors and hub staff to develop interdisciplinary STEM programs and projects. Engage with parents, guardians, and community partners to promote tech education.


REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, including SEO, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and online advertising.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey design concepts clearly.
  • A passion for educating and inspiring young females to pursue careers in technology and design.
  • Patience, adaptability, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and a creative approach to design education.
