ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA) is an independent humanitarian medical NGO established in 2009 by professionals in humanitarian medicine. ALIMA’s mission is to provide medical care in emergency situations or medical catastrophes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Medical Coordinator at ALIMA, you will be responsible for defining the objectives and technical orientations of the mission, proposing strategies consistent with the medical and humanitarian needs of the areas of intervention, and providing technical support to all the medical teams of the mission.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze, define, and adjust the medical objectives of ALIMA projects in the country of mission.
• Collect and interpret data to define the medical-operational strategy.
• Contribute to the organization and implementation of medical projects.
• Participate in pharmaceutical management of projects.
• Support research projects and monitor and evaluate project performance.
• Represent ALIMA in communications and ensure capacity building and team facilitation.
• Oversee team health and implement prevention measures against abuse of power, gender-based, and sexual violence.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Medical Degree, Master’s in Public Health, Project Management, or Epidemiology.
• Successful experience (3 years) in a similar position with a medical INGO.
• Experience in emergency contexts and a clear understanding of NGO emergency response.

Skills:

• Expertise in preparing proposals, donor reports, and monitoring and evaluating medical operations.
• Knowledge of health services management, project management, and data analysis.
• Ability to work in risky environments and provide strategic medical guidance.

Salary:
Depending on experience + per diem.
ALIMA covers travel, accommodation, medical coverage, and evacuation costs.
