JOB DESCRIPTION
Vale Finance Limited is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and a thorough understanding of financial processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  daily financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and transactions.
  • Post daily transactions into accounting and banking software, ensuring customer accounts are up to date.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and follow up to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Assist in preparing annual and monthly budgets and monitor adherence through performance reviews.
  • Contribute to cash flow projections and manage the company's cash position.
  • Summarize the current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory deductions and tax returns.
  • Review bank statements, process bank deposits, and handle associated finance entries.
  • Investigate abnormal expenses and irregularities in the accounting system.
  • Review and verify invoices, receipts, and other supporting documents for accuracy.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, reporting any variances and identifying improvement areas.
  • Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversee the statutory audit of financial statements and ensure timely submission to FIRS and other regulatory authorities.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting roles.
